What a brilliant Underground Station!!!!It's good during the day but almost magical at night....slightly 'Ivor the Engine' stuff.Nice clean toilet on the platform and a waiting room (that doesn't have an awefull smell) which is both warm and pleasant. I'll definitely be using this on a more regular basis as it saves the walk up the hill to Amersham Station and is an absolute joy.Highly recommended.
No staff broken machines
Great station for getting to London, the car park is 2 all day at the weekend and I was at Kings Cross in an hour. With a Railcard a zone 1 - 9 travelcard was less than a tenner! Half hourly trains which go directly to Aldgate in the City via the northern part of the Circle line.
Lovely little town worth a visit
The single-story station building is easily mistaken for a toilet block or ornate garden shed, but once you get in it is an absolute delight. This most distant outpost of the London Underground presents as a lovely rural station with a single well-kept platform island and a quaint signal box. The Metropolitan line from here to Chalfont and Latimer is very scenic and a far cry from the rather depressing neighbouring routes of the Bakerloo.
